The location of the tear on the coilover sleeve seems to be a coincidence because the black bottom portion is just paint. I'm about to yank it now and will post more pics. The pic I posted is the view from the front of the car. The back view is worse.
You sure Supra is 4.3? My CeliSupra rear end was 3.9 bro, stock AE86 is 4.3... But either way, you had been running 4.77 gears IIRC, so it'll be longer no matter what.

My LSD and pinion gears came from an MKIII Supra. I thought they're 4.30... Maybe I'm off a bit? How would you know I had been running 4.77?

Here the damage:

Sway is like a race horse; if you push it sometimes, it's ok, but if you are hard on it all the time, then it's going to break its ankle and then you will have to shoot it.

Because riding in the car, the gears were so short compared to any Hachi I've ridden in that had stock 4.3 ratio. Most common gearset to pop in is a 4.77 and that's what it seemed like with the shift points. That's why the gears in my car sounded so much longer, is because I was running 3.9 CeliSupra rear, but that's a MkII. MkIII (that's an '89-'92) might have a 4.3 but I could swear those had an independent rear... I might be wrong though. Time for me to use google lol.

You are correct, but I bought an MKIII IRS rear and pulled the internals and installed it in my MKII solid rear. My MKII rear came with an open diff so I swapped it out. LSD and ring and pinion.

Yoshi, too much camber? Added camber stress? Cheap strut tube material? I don't know. My fender was never damaged from the wall hit so I don't even know if they touched.

Car is back on all fours now and off the trailer. :-). Still need to find out why my brakes are sticking in the rear...

For the brake stick, pull off the rear brakes and check the adjustment of the e-brake shoes? Or a hangup of the e-brake cables? Or ist it caliper lock?

I don't see how excessive camber would do that. If tolerances are that weak, something's wrong. See if you can get a new one for free.

Yeah Megans are one of the cheapest along with BC Racing. These coilovers survived 4 years of track abuse so I'm not complaining.
