streets are overrated. somehow Reese Marin got away with driving his straight piped ls s13 to ocean city for h20i. Maybe because he didn't have maryland plates?

Electric cutouts bro... that's what I'm doing on my car, whenever I get around to bringing my car to an exhaust shop.

$$$$$. and also clearance. I don't have much space at all under this thing. I ran a manual cutout once and scraped that bitch everywhere.

I figured I should update. The motor starts and runs. Brakes are still in process as the hydro boost setup is taking much more work than originally anticipated. That's ok though! How about some pix?

Here's an idea of how tight the steering shaft is. Any farther out, you hit the frame. Any closer in, you hit the block. As a result, the steering shaft must have the guibo deleted and have an E36 rack. Which, I'm very much ok with. Should add a tons of response into the steering wheel.

Image
Not really sure why they cut out parts of the shifter area. It would bolt up fine anyway. With the GTO T56, the shifter lines up 100% correctly from what I'm told.

Kits ready to be sold.

The car as it currently sits. So much I need to do outside of the motor swap. Might source a whole new wheel well for the area I bashed in for the turbo. I could cut it out but I'm not a fan of that. Look at that beefy ass radiator!

Image
And finally, I started in on some body work. Not much really. I'm trying to figure out how to piece stuff back together without adding too much. I left some of the zip ties in but put some cloth mat on one side. I might do a second matting if it feels brittle. Then I'll take out the zip ties and redo both sides with some gel coat to fill in the gaps.

Unrelated to the build. I did a rally cross in a friend's car for the first time. Got 8th out of 11 in the scca M4 class (big boys). I woulda been much higher but I shagged about 2 cones per run. For never having rallied or driven that car, I'm pretty stoked I turned competitive times.

Apparently that hydroboost setup is a BIATCH. I think they are close though.
