Financial butthole?
Sway is like a race horse; if you push it sometimes, it's ok, but if you are hard on it all the time, then it's going to break its ankle and then you will have to shoot it.

OK! So here's the plan. Cut off and flange the 4 inch pipe just after the trans. Shove this mofo on:

4 inch in, dual 3 out.

Figured I could do the teal area with 4 - 45 degree bends. The red straights are just some pipe and the mufflers there will be:

Dual borla XS mufflers with offset in/outs to position the pipes closer to the diff so the axles don't hit. I measured and it should just fit in the area where the factory muffler was. The tail pipes might look a bit odd coming out but I'm not sure about that.

Toss on cats if the state safety guy gets pissy.

Thoughts?

You should tilt your car and work on it like the Japanese guys do it at the tracks.

Japanese are very smart people.

Post a pic of your car in the same position so we can compare how closely the final product compares to the diagram. :)
But seriously, why 3 mufflers? Can't you just get a 4" to dual 3" adapter?
On second thought, why is it going into a single 4" in the first place?

Sikky and I decided on 4 inches in case I ever get to a power level that needs it. Yea that's like 700whp but the cost difference was nothing for me. I could recut and put it down to a 3.5 but that's still freaking huge.

3 mufflers because I want street quiet but free flow. I can get one super restrictive muffler or 3 decent straight throughs. I'm hoping whisper quiet. Yea, I'm not super into loud. I'm weird.

We'll call it a "sleeper"

You should just find a stock gto exhaust and make it work with what you have lol.

Been meaning to update this for a while but life has me super busy. The car is back home and I can start finalizing things. The immediate concern is getting it to legally pass safety.

As a result, these are the top of my list of stuff to do:
Quiet exhaust (parts on route)
Decent rear tires (might just borrow for this)
Reverse light working
Easier to shift as I expect an inspector to not be able to find reverse
Verify all lights and such work
Enough body work to cover the car

Other to do items:
Mount gas pedal higher
Fix slow drain on battery (fuses 21/28 draw power all the time)
Rest of the body work
Put interior back in
Some kind of music in the damn thing
Battery tie down
ECU mounting

There's probably much more to do but first and foremost it has to be quiet enough to drive by the police station down the street from my house. The body work doesn't line up at all on my car for some reason so that is also a struggle. I'll mess with the exhaust first, body work second, then worry about the rest. Hopefully I can manage that by this time next weekend.
