Here’s a quick update on our Dominion Raceway status. Our filings with VDOT and Spotsylvania are in and accepted. The filings are extensive and are being reviewed by these groups for accuracy and compliance with their requirements.

Once these reviews are complete, initial comments will be drafted and given to us. VDOT’s and Spotsylvania staffs will review with us and our engineers their comments and we will be asked to resolve questions, provide clarity and make revisions to our application and documents in hope that a final version of the application may be reached that allows staff members to recommend approval of the application to the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors.

This process leads to the public hearings that are required and necessary to obtain actual project approval.

In our next update hopefully we will announce our public hearing dates. The public hearings are the crucial meetings that you as residents and business owners of Spotsylvania can have your voices heard.

As you know your support at these meetings is critical to the approval process and Dominion Raceways success. Elected officials serve their constituents that’s there job our job it to let them know how we feel about Dominion Raceway in Spotsylvania.

I am sure we will rise to the task! Thanks for your continued support of Dominion Raceway.

Sincerely,

Steve Britt

Really it says nothing. The project hasn't been out right rejected yet. Once they get to the hearing point I don't think they'll shut down the project. Just needs to get to that point.

It looks like they took my suggestion to add more drift friendly parts to the track and to divide it so we can do multiple courses.
