Uh so... what do we do now?
I'd be ok with that.

keep your eyes open and look for the next opportunity
Re: Uh so... what do we do now?
Maby try and set up some more parking lot events/small airports. Ive been looking up Airports around my house and there seem to be a few that would be worthwhile asking.
Re: Uh so... what do we do now?
Well.. I'm done running events. I refuse to do anymore. I'll def help someone else do it if they want.
I've approached several airports. Usually the problem is that it's being used so much of the time that there isn't a time when we can get on without planes landing on us. The old airports don't like us messing up their pavement. Others just plain (lol) won't return my calls.
Keep in mind, I've looked and actively called before. It's not like I saw ODS and summit and said "no more".
On top of that, most places want too much. Insurance will have to be through NASA. I can secure that. But that is $1500 per event. Most parking lot events like Blue Crab are minimum $1500. So your base rental fees are $3k discluding EVERYTHING else. Right there, with 30 drivers (which is on the upper bounds of possible) would have to be $100 per person. Any less, you lose money. Again, that's rental fees only. No trophies, no wrist bands, no paying people to track work, no cones, no nothing. Cones are upwards of $50 per cone btw.
You can put $3k down on an event, run it, not drive, and take liability. Fuck, I'll help out for dinner. I won't do it anymore. I swear it's taken years off my life.
